Applications

For smaller diameter finishing applications, the YG1 7570 end mill, sized at 7/32″ with a 5/8″ length of cut, provides balanced reach and rigidity. Its bright coating combined with four flutes and a 30° helix angle facilitates smooth chip evacuation and reduces friction, enhancing surface finish quality on non-ferrous materials such as brass and bronze.
This tool performs well in edge finish routing and milling of acrylic and plastics, where the polished coating and sharp geometry minimize melting and burr formation. The lack of a corner radius reduces chipping risk during interrupted cuts, preserving edge integrity. Hard steels typically machine better with a coated end mill. The design and coating do not support use on hard or abrasive ferrous materials, which may cause premature wear.
