Designed for shorter reach milling requiring rigidity and precision, the YG1 33561TE end mill measures 5/32″ in diameter with a 5/16″ length of cut. Its stub length to diameter ratio of 2.0 ensures excellent stability during finishing operations in steel and similar materials. Featuring four flutes, a 30° helix angle, and a YG TiAlN Extreme coating, this tool balances strength and chip evacuation to enhance performance in free-machining steel and general milling tasks. The combination of geometry and coating offers efficient heat resistance and wear protection, resulting in consistent finishes on steel and cast iron. While the tool lacks a corner radius, requiring controlled cutting parameters to avoid edge chipping, its design is well-suited for low carbon steel slotting and general milling. Avoid using this end mill on non-ferrous materials, as the coating is not well suited and would reduce tool life and effectiveness.
