Balancing reach and stiffness, the YG1 07600TC 1″ Size, 1-1/2″ Length of Cut, 4 Flute, TiCN Solid Carbide Finishing End Mill offers a rigid 1.5x length-to-diameter ratio ideal for precision milling in steel and related materials. Its 30° helix angle, 4-flute design, and TiCN coating promote smooth chip evacuation and strong wear resistance, supporting stable finishing passes in free-machining steel and cast iron. This combination reduces deflection and vibration, improving surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
Suitable for general milling of free-machining steel, this tool aligns with recommended combinations for easy-machining steels. Its TiCN coating and geometry also extend applicability to non-ferrous metals and stainless steel, though with lower priority. Without a corner radius, edge chipping prevention depends on controlled feeds and speeds rather than geometry. Avoid using on heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA ISO S) due to coating unsuitability that causes rapid wear. This end mill is not intended for heavy roughing or interrupted cuts where a corner radius would better resist chipping.
