Applications

Ideal for precision finishing in steel and cast iron, the YG1 07588TN offers a 7/16″ diameter with a 1″ length of cut and 4 flutes. With a 30° helix angle, its design optimizes chip removal and maintains rigidity, supporting smooth surface finishes in free-machining steels and general milling applications. The TiN coating enhances wear resistance and reduces built-up edge, extending tool life under moderate speeds.
This tools sharp corner geometry avoids chipping concerns associated with corner radii, making it suitable for low carbon steel slotting and finishing. The combination of its 1″ cutting length and 7/16″ diameter delivers a favorable stiffness-to-reach ratio for detailed work.
Avoid using this end mill on heat-resistant superalloys (HRSA ISO S), as the TiN coating is poorly matched and will wear rapidly. It is not designed for heavy roughing or materials outside its specified range, such as plastics or hard materials.
